Post Less, Curate More, Produce Prints... have I done this though?

This is simply what I want to do more of this year and hopefully, it’s a simple three-point plan that is executed:

Post less.

I want to focus on my personal work and be more precise. I like to call it consistent work, which means writing about consistent and definitive work. Lately, I've been sharing less on @theeastlondonphotographer. I sometimes use stories to show something for a short amount of time, and I select fewer photos for the feed. On the other hand, @shotbymetty is rather free-reign. I treat the two accounts differently since their audiences and intentions are different. It felt like I was rushing to post too quickly. I didn't give the photos enough time to marinate in my mind, or sometimes to be forgotten and viewed at a later date. This reminds me why I like film photography. The lack of immediacy encourages me to be better than my last shot.

Curate more.

Over the past four months, I've been going through my unexpectedly large archive of images, dating back to the first photos I took in 2011. I've noticed that there are a lot of images that aren't amazing. However, when put together, they show the accidental beginnings of a potential personal story or a collection. I'm going through and flagging images and placing them into different folders, so I can break down that breadth of images into something meaningful or just something pretty. Don't expect an "early years book" from me, though.

Produce prints.

Lastly, I need to complete the circle. In short, I need to print some damn work again. The first attempt at the print shop was very motivating, with 10 sales if I remember correctly. I want to do more. I'm in a decent financial position where I can print more, make some test zines to sell/give away, put artwork on the street, and do other things. Let's see how it goes!

So.

Did I actually do this?
Posting Less? Certainly less than usual!
Sometimes I don’t post any of my work from what I’ve done during the week

Curating More?
YES, you should see my Lightroom Catalogue!

Produce Prints?
YES but NO.
I’ve made a batch of prints but they are currently sitting in a box…
I don’t know what to do with them; maybe stick them around town!?
